Use Bullets in Your Marketing Materials
NO, I DIDN’T mean for you to use the kind of bullets made from lead.
I mean breaking your lists of steps, items, features and/or benefits into separate numbered or bulleted elements.
I can’t emphasise strongly enough how important this tip is if you ever hope to communicate clearly to your market and entice them to take action.
If you present important points like those into paragraph form, there is an excellent chance that your prospects or customers will never see them, and even less chance that they will remember them even if they do.
Here’s a comparison to make the point. Read the following paragraph.
Sum up the primary points of the presentation, and review the benefits and advantages your customer will receive from your product or service. Then tell her about any bonuses or discounts she may receive for buying today and make sure you let her know in simple terms how much the regular price of the order would have cost her, and exactly how much she will save by buying now.
If you need a down payment, tell her how much of a down payment you will need today, and then say, ‘How does that sound to you?’
Now look at the same information presented in bulleted format.
- Sum up the primary points of the presentation,
- Review the benefits and advantages your customer will receive from your product or service
- Tell her about any bonuses or discounts she may receive for buying today
- Make sure you let her know in simple terms how much the regular price of the order would have cost her, and exactly how much she will save by buying now
- If you need a down payment, tell her how much of a down payment you will need today, and then
- Say, ‘How does that sound to you?’
It should be obvious which is easier to read, absorb and remember. Plus, the list format is much easier to review.
Start applying this power tip to your marketing material today and you will immediately boost your marketing effectiveness to a whole new level.
