Indie author Gary Denning’s book is for sale worldwide without paying for a print run.
INDEPENDENT AUTHOR Gary Denning is selling his books on Amazon without paying to have them printed.
Gary, who is also a clinical health scientist, has written a book containing successful strategies for reducing off Opioid Replacement Therapy.
When it came time to get his book out there into the real world, Gary didn’t have any budget to print the book.
That’s when he met Gold Coast publisher, John Wright.
“I was very pleasantly surprised that while every author needs to pay for the design and typesetting of his book, John knew how to get it onto Amazon without having to pay a printer to print an economic run, usually 500 copies or more,” says Gary.
“And now I’ve banked my first cheque from Amazon for my share of the sales.”
Unlike the miserly share authors receive from publishing houses, Gary gets up to 70% of the sale price.
“If it wasn’t for John Wright’s knowledge and expertise, my book would still be sitting in a Word file on my laptop,” says Gary.
“Now I can say I’m a published author, and make money from my sales worldwide.
“And John also did a really fine job with the design and typesetting.”
